Error 339
COMPONENT (Name of file) OR ONE OF ITS' DEPENDENCIES NOT CORRECTLY REGISTERED. A FILE IS MISSING OR INVALID
This is a common error in Windows 8-11 it is caused by 32bit files not being properly registered in windows 64bit hive during installation. The common resolution is to initially install MPOS as an administrator. If you have already run the install and run into this error follow the instructions below:
First try running MPOS as admin this is done by right side clicking on your "Launch MPOS Software" icon on your desktop and select "Run as Administrator" this should allow you to enter the system. Do this until you no longer receive error 339 once you have cleared the errors you will no longer need to run the software as an admin. If this does not resolve your error continue below for advance options.
If you receive this error number in windows 8 you must reinstall your MPOS software version (8) but when doing so right side click on the setup.exe file and select "Run as administrator" This will allow the setup routine to register all components correctly using the admin credentials, otherwise you will need to use the command prompt in windows run command prompt as administrator and use the regsvr32 option to manually register every file that generates error 339. In some cases you may need to unregister the file the register it again.
This error is usually followed by error 53: file not found. A component was not installed correctly & needs to be reinstalled or repaired.
If this is the only set of error messages you can register the file manually by going into Window's and select Run or type in the search box in Vista or Windows 7, "regsvr32 barcodes.ocx" and select OK.
If component is COMSR1.OCX then you should update to your latest version to resolve.
