Cash Registers A feature has been added inserting an "Add Tips" Button in the Ring up Sale Screen. When you select this button you will be prompted to enter the amount collected for tips. This will then adjust the amount due on all forms of payment. This can then be tracked using the new module "Customer Tips Management" This is located On the main screen under the option menu. Or can be activated using the select options drop down box In the middle of the screen. Hot Keys are (Ctrl + T). You can then select employees, time periods and forms Of payment to calculate tips paid for any period. There is currently no documentation for this feature As it is a minor. Documentation will be available on the next Major Upgrade -------------------- System update 5.1.6 9/03 -------------------- Setup wizard updated error number 9 (invalid array) causes system to crash when invalid printers are installed in windows. -------------------- Feature update 5.1.6 9/03 -------------------- 1. Scheduling A. You can now create a presales sales ticket from the scheduler or main screen. This will allow you to create a ticket from either the scheduler or manually then save the information. You can optionally print client formulas and templates with the sales ticket. You can access the feature in the cash register by activating Shift + F8 then scan or type the ticket number. You can activate the feature from the scheduler by clicking on the "View Today's Ticket" Button. You can add a scheduled appointment to any ticket by selecting the "Add to Ticket" menu. B. You can now automate membership packages from the scheduler. A new option has been added allowing you to now scan membership cards directly into a bed. This is done by selecting a bed then selecting the menu "Scan or Type Package Card" the package if found will automatically schedule into the time slot then activate the bed timer. From here you can set the minutes and upon activation of the bed you will be prompted to reduce the package amount in either minutes or sessions. This feature is an alternative to processing the packages from the cash register screen. Caution should be used when using this new feature, as you will not be able to print a receipt of the visit or run specific reports on client visits. The system will simply deduct the session from the package. This option is for those wishing to process the entire visit from within the scheduler with out having to process through the cash register. -------------------- Feature update 5.1.5 7/03 -------------------- 1. Scheduling A. You can now move appointments from one cell to another. This is done by clicking on the scheduling menu and selecting "Move Appointment". B. First name field was added to the scheduler helper allowing you to view the clients first name after clicking on there appointment. C. Updates to ringup sale options D. Color flags have also been added to the system. The system will now show unique color codes for clients that have been checked in and also processed through the cash register. 2. Main Features A. Add Non Inventory items to inventory through the cash register system. (Using the "*" option.) 4. Inventory A. Multiple Sales prices added. Allowing you to program up to 6 prices per item. These prices are set using the client profile. B. Discount card or account can now be created and managed. This can be accessed in the Inventory Screen (Discount & Price Changes.) This allows you to scan a card or type an account number in the cash register and automatically discount the entire ticket. -------------------- Feature update 5.1.4 3/03 -------------------- 1. Scheduling A. Scheduling time interval default setting is now set to enabled. Allowing new installations to change there time intervals without updating. B. When clicking on images calendar appears. Credit card type and auth added to 3 inch receipt printers (non Epson 3" printers") -------------------- Feature update 5.1.3 2/03 -------------------- 1.System will check and prompt for duplicate records when ever a new record is created and the system determines that a duplicate may exist. Option added to disable the prompt for membership or package card. This is located in the manage package option. If you do not use the membership cards,customer phone numbers or account numbers. You can disable this option and the system will create random account numbers and no longer prompt you to enter an account or membership number. 3. QuickBook's updated to create sales tax items automatically with each export. This will allow you to continue to post sales to Sales Tax Payable using your current sale tax account name if it does not already exist in QuickBooks. This will only affect QuickBooks 2003 users. 3. Cash Register A. Gift Certificate Support extended. You can now record the gift certificate number along with the value for each gift certificate. And can also be tracked with the new report "Gift Certificate Report" B. Option added to optionally remove the graphic images from the service and inventory grid. This is located on the primary service grid as a check box option labeled "Use Graphic Images" 4. Reports has been updated: A. Gift Certificate Report (Will display Gift Certificate totals will serial numbers) B. Daily Summary Report (Updated to display daily Gift Certificate Totals) C. Print function changed to allow you to print 3" reports using windows generic and TM drivers. 5. Scheduling A. (internal changes) Package's will now have a package id or (PID) number that will be used as the primary way of finding a client internally. If a PID number is or has not been created for a record the existing format will be used client last name and first initial. B. Purchase Orders have been added to the inventory features. B. Receiving items from purchase orders have been added to the inventory features. C. The reorder point list can now be sorted by using the sort menu. D. Screen values have been updated to allow for on screen values to change when you navigate from record to record. 5. Main A. Removal of (x) close program option. This avoids accidental closing of application. You must now use the file menu to exit or use the appropriate hot keys (alt + F4) or (F2). 2. Cash Register (hot key grid) has been modified to: A. Keep the grid on top and visible at all times. B. Hot keys and service keys have been updated from 40 items to unlimited. C. Next and Previous button has been added to navigate through hot keys. D. Options have been added to sort hot key and service key by category. E. Hot Keys activation has been switched from typing Hot Keys or Service Keys in the department number to checking the option labeled hot key. The system will automatically scan and transferred all existing records to the new format. This will allow users who track sales by inventory to use the hot keys and service keys functions. F. The Client info option has been modified to allow you to now change the default find field. Credit Card and Check form of payments have been modified. You can now select in the general setup of the setup wizard whether you wish to be prompted to collected check information or credit card information. If you do not check these option you will not need to validate a check with it's account number and routing number or validate a credit card number. 3. Inventory has been updated to allow for: Change of price by category. Change of price by retail price. Change of price by item Schedule a starting and ending date for price change or discount. This option is labeled "Change Of Price" menu. 4. Reports has been updated: A. Daily Details, Selected Details, Daily Summary reports have been modified to not show open invoices in daily totals. Only payments on Open Invoices on A/R will reflect in these reports. B. New Report Selected Details (Same as Daily Details but with date range) added C. Email capability has been added to reports. You can now email any report via the email option. (mswinsock.ocx) Has been provided for this feature and will be installed with version 5.1.0 and above. D. Saving reports can now be done using the save report feature. You can now save the report in a rich text format. E. Printer setup was placed in the print menu. You can now select the default printer for your reports. 5. Sales tax has been modified to allow for universal tax change. If your tax levels change's you can now change the tax level in the setup wizard and be prompted to change all items with the same tax level. This will allow you to make changes with out having to select each product and change the sales tax manually. -------------------- System update 5.1.0 -------------------- 1. System updated to allow a change of quantity on the grid to search for multiple price schemes. 2. User's using Epson OPOS Drivers have been updated so that cash drawer will not open when you put an item on hold. 3. Serialized items that are refunded have been updated so that the serial number is returned to stock. -------------------- Feature update 5.0.9 5/02 -------------------- 1. Scheduling system helper has been modified to sort client names in descending order. 2. Scheduling system allows you to lookup existing packages using just the auto find feature. By clicking on a scheduled appointment and selecting lookup packages. 3. Scheduling system will now allow you to lookup an existing package and automatically schedule your client into the starting time you select. 4. Cash register will now allow you to automatically add client information to the ring out grid, once a package has been sold with client information. -------------------- System update 5.0.9 -------------------- 1. Department ID report has been updated to allow you to run more accurate department reports using your product database. Changes will effect both standard and pro versions. 2. System has been updated to allow usage of customer pole display on COM 2. 3. System has been updated for problems with Windows XP. Problems with cash register change received; system will not calculate change under 10 cents. Update consist of update file sysinfo.ocx file being shipped with update file allowing the system to scan your operating system and apply needed changes to Windows XP users.
